Education:
I finished my Master's degree in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics at
the Technical University of Denmark in late 2001.
Employment history:
- Summer 1995 and 1996, Kampsax Geoplan
Worked with: Digital scanning of aerial photographs, data
storage and batch processing/scripting, etc.
- 1998-1999, UNI-C (Danish Computing Center for Research
and Education)
Primary work: Parallelization of existing simulation software. Also
did research and from-scratch software development.

Worked on systems and infrastructure for large-scale parallel computations

- Programming languages:
- Have worked with C++ since 1996 (before ANSI standardisation)
- Have worked with C since 1995
- Experience with Perl and shell-scripting (mainly bash) since 1995
- I have also worked with: Haskell, Pascal, Fortran-77, ML and others
- Development:
- Experience with infrastructure such as source code revision control
systems and make files, concurrent development, bug tracking, release
cycles etc.
- Experience with code organization and generally the work on larger code
projects
- Experience with design of distributed systems and their related security, scalability
and reliability concerns
- Operating systems:
- Have worked with development on GNU/Linux systems since 1996
- Have used and programmed for Solaris, FreeBSD, HP-UX, IRIX, AIX, Tru64, NT,
OS/2 and NetWare
- Hardware I have worked with:
- Through my career I have worked with many different types of systems from
SGI Origin ccNUMA supercomputers, the IBM SP/2 massively parallel supercomputer platform,
Sun Enterprise systems over varios UNIX workstations to more standard personal
computers and servers as well as thin clients.

- I have worked with development of distributed systems for many years
- Scalability, performance and reliability is a big area of interest for me
and has been a common theme in much of my work over the years
- System administration experience (mainly on GNU/Linux) since 1997
