The original idea of using near-optimal QR factorization instead of
other (usually) cheaper factorizations on sparse systems of linear
equations came from Claus Bendtsen of UNIC.
Jens Clausen of IMM, DTU, (Department of Mathematical Modelling, Technical University of Denmark) supervised this project. His knowledge of optimization and help throughout the project has been invaluable.
